PRESIDENT AWWA

Mrs. Sunita Dwivedi, President AWWA is a science graduate and a homemaker. She is a keen proponent of yoga and spiritualism.

She was Chairperson, Veer Nari Committee Central AWWA during 2019-20. She actively reached out to the Veer Naris through proactive approach and has strived for a dignified life for our Veer Naris, Widows & their NOKs.

She holds immense compassion and concern for the differently abled and has been associated with an NGO ARUSHI, home for differently abled children, for last fourteen years. She has been actively involved in upliftment and upgradation of ASHA Schools including concept of ASHA MILAP. While at Seychelles for two years she was associated with an NGO providing care and comfort to the needy. She also taught Yoga & Hindi language to the local community.

She has extensive experience in the way of life of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and North-East wherein, she worked for the welfare of families of Army and Assam Rifles in remote areas. She has laid special emphasis to empower families through skill development initiatives. She is a firm believer of meaningful welfare of soldier's families by leveraging technological advancements to enhance quality of life and opportunities for growth.

Gen. & Mrs. Dwivedi are blessed with two daughters. Elder daughter, Ms. Shalini holds Masters from University of Pennsylvania, USA and presently is the global director at an international not-for-profit organisation aimed at providing economic mobility for all. She is happily married to Mr. Sunny Sreenivasan, an alumnus of INSEAD France. Sunny is currently global director at an international foundation focused on accelerating job growth and achievement. The younger daughter Ms. Shivangi is a graduate from Delhi University and is associated with a forum actively working for women's rights.
